Development Centre
Near to Nagaloka is the Women's Development Centre
which consists of:
- a hostel for 50 very poor girls who would other
wise find it difficult to complete their education (when the centre
is complete the hostel will be able to take 80 girls);
- residential quarters for women training at
the Nagarjuna Institute;
- a training and networking centre for women
running the health and education community centres in the slums
of Nagpur.
- a centre for interaction amongst Buddhist women,
not only in Nagpur but throughout the world.
This project is run by women who were brought up in the local slums.
Through Buddhism they have found the means to transform their own
lives and help others brought up in similar situations.
