The Peaceful Revolution > Dhamma Work Lokamitra based himself in Pune, and started Dhamma activities in the name of Trailokya Bauddha Mahasangha, Sahayaka Gana (TBMSG). Today there are over twenty urban TBMSG Dhamma teaching centres, mainly in Maharashtra, but also in the states of Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Goa. At all of these classes in meditation and Buddhist study are conducted. Four retreat centres have been developed as well as a publications wing. Extensive lecture tours have covered hundreds of villages in towns in Maharashtra and other Indian states. In these ways many thousands have found more confidence in their conversion to Buddhism, and those who have taken up Buddhist practice on a systematic basis have found they are now able to make a more creative and effective contribution to society. |
