Manuski Network
The Manuski Network was established to bring together individuals and NGOs focussing on the disadvantaged and oppressed sections of society. There are many such people doing social work, but they are often limited or face difficulties because they do not have connections in Delhi; they are often working alone with little experience in administration. Not only that but NGOs ostensibly working for the most oppressed communities do not always encourage people from these very communities to take a lead in their organisation.
The Manuski Network makes it possible for people from these communities doing social work to share their experience and gain a sense of solidarity. It also provides a framework for the training workshops and resource activities being run from the Manuski Centre. The Manuski network is extended to the Marathawada region of Maharastra. Now there are over 150 NGOs in the Manuski network.
